    OVERVIEW

    Our new Full-Stack Engineer / Dev Advocate will be joining an expanding team of experienced and innovative technologists to build applications on top of Fluree's data platform, both for our clients and for the benefit of our wider developer community. We are looking for a full-stack web developer who can contribute to client projects, help maintain our NPM packages, and build demo applications for our community--but also someone who can contribute to developer-focused marketing initiatives in the form of blog posts, presentations, or webinar events.

    This is a remote-friendly position, although some additional consideration will be given to candidates who are local to Winston-Salem, NC.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Build Single Page Apps and basic application architecture, using Fluree as the backend, working directly with our customer project teams
    • Advise customers on architectures, patterns, and strategies for making the best use of Fluree
    • Develop and demo Fluree-powered applications for both ongoing developer content and for particular use cases established by enterprise partners
    • Improve the developer onboarding process and learning experience
    • Improve communication of new and existing product features to Fluree's developer community
    • Collaborate with Fluree's internal teams to recognize opportunities for community engagement and to strategically plan for new messaging and content initiatives

    REQUIREMENTS

    • 3+ years experience building web apps, with additional preference for any of the following supplemental experience: Databases & Data Management, Distributed Systems, Identity & Access Management, Public Key Cryptography, Blockchain
    • Good comprehension of industry-standard patterns and platforms for application development and cloud computing (some preference for AWS serverless experience)
    • Strong oral and written communication skills in English
    • Experience engaging with technical communities via public speaking, content creation, and both virtual and in-person presentations
    • Ability to work autonomously and to travel (when and if Covid-19 precautions make this reasonable)
    • Enjoys the flexibility and self-direction of a startup environment

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Experience with JavaScript development (NodeJS and frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue), particularly for demos and application-focused content
    • Professional experience with developer community engagement on social/online media platforms such as Twitter and Medium
    • Established presence on StackOverflow
