    Job Duties and Responsibilities

    Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot the pressure washer and DA sander.

    Understand and perform the entire wash, pre-sand, and sanding processes for all boats and consoles.

    Perform pre-foam taping process and post-foam untaping and cleanup process.

    Apply and understand different sanding techniques for different situations.

    Receive certification for forklift operation, crane operation, and foam technician.

    Place the boat jack into the correct position for foam, apply foam plugs in the correct places after the foam process is complete, and load/offload boats onto the rotisserie.

    Understand foam characteristics to increase production and decrease waste.

    Operate and maintain foam equipment, including changing material tanks.

    Read the production tracker and shipping schedule and recognize items associated with your department.

    Foam all models of boats, recognize when it is done incorrectly, and fix a boat when it is foamed incorrectly.

    Drain unmixed chemicals and water from the boat, organize all loose parts on pallets, and maintain a record of work orders.

    Communicate with the office or supervisor regarding production planning.

    Required Skills

    Exhibit trustworthiness and honesty.

    Read a tape measure, understand fractions, simple math-addition, subtraction, multiplication, division.

    Capable of using basic hand tools.

    Maintain connection and communication among other employees and management.

    Attention to detail is required to ensure high quality and safety.

    Lead by example; build a team that can rely on each other and can function if the supervisor is not there. Train each employee in your department to do their job if you are not there. Be competitive with the rest of the factory and do better than yesterday every day. Be a role model for others: have a positive attitude, keep your area and tools clean and organized, and encourage your team.

    Essential Functions

    Capable of performing each essential duty satisfactorily in a fast-paced industrial environment.

    Capable of standing all day with no sitting down on the job; repetitive use of hands and arms; ability to walk, climb, balance, twist, turn, grasp, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. May need to work intermittently from a ladder.

    Required to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, or more collectively, frequently. Capable of lifting 50-75 pounds over the shoulder and outward frequently.

    Ability to work in a cold and hot work environment.

    Great socialization and communication with management, other departments, and coworkers.

    High school or GED graduate preferred.
