Focal Point Medical Staffing is currently recruiting Passionate and Committed Certified Nurse Aides (CNAs) for contract opportunities with our facility partners in Jefferson, NC. See below for full details and benefits.
13 Week Contract
Schedule/ Shifts: Shifts available are Monday through Friday with every other weekend requirement. (Must work at least 5 shifts weekly
- 7a-3p shift and 2p-10p shift options.
- All shifts are available but only on weekends.
UNLIMITED OVERTIME IS APPROVED!
Travel Contract Package (Must reside 50+ miles from the facility)
Total Weekly: $1040 - Based on 40 hrs weekly shift guarantee (Stipend Included)
Total Weekly: $1328 - Based on 48 hrs weekly shift guarantee (Stipend Included)
- $26/hr Blended Rate
- $12/hr Taxable wage (Based on 40 hrs weekly shift guarantee) = $480/wk Taxable Wage ****
OT Taxable Wage Rate: $36hr (All hours worked over 40hrs/wk)

Requirements:
- Current CNA certification in the state where employed, active on the NC Nurse Aide I registry.
- Two forms of identification (Driver's License and Social Security card)
- FULLY VACCINATED COVID CARD *REQUIRED
- Most recent Negative PPD (within last 12 months) OR Chest X-ray (within last 5 years)
- At least 6+ months of previous CNA experience in a Long-Term Care and/or Assisted Living setting
- Reliable transportation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with daily needs, such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and personal hygiene
- Monitor and record vital signs, blood glucose, and other patient information as directed
- Administer medications to patients as prescribed by the physician or nurse
- Assist patients in therapy and rehabilitation programs
- Assist in the maintenance of a clean and safe environment for patients
- Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and their families
- Report any changes in patient condition or behavior to the registered nurse or licensed practical nurse
- Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner
Working Conditions:
The CNA will be required to work in a healthcare facility, including hospitals, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities. The job may require the CNA to lift and move patients or heavy equipment. Evening, weekend, and holiday work may be required.
