The perfect candidate is self-driven and able to perform key responsibilities with minimal supervision. This is a full-time role requiring a dedication of 40 hours weekly at our premises. Master the use of advanced electronic systems for the secure storage, easy retrieval, and meticulous tracking of documents. Oversee Discovery Process: • Take charge of the discovery phase, ensuring smooth operation from start to finish. • Handle the gathering, examination, and submission of documents, while also aiding in the creation of discovery-related requests and replies. Legal Research : • Delve into case-relevant legal research on precedents, statutes, and regulations. • Distill research into concise summaries for attorney use and contribute to case strategy with your findings. Drafting of Legal Documentation: • Craft initial drafts of essential legal forms such as pleadings, motions, affidavits, and subpoenas, readying them for attorney oversight. Client Relations Management: • Act as the crucial link between attorneys and clients, ensuring fluid communication by gathering critical information and offering regular case progress updates. Case Organization and Oversight: • Monitor important case milestones and manage the comprehensive case schedule. • Facilitate coordination among team members, expert witnesses, and external legal representatives to ensure seamless case progression. Qualifications: Education & Certification: • Preferred: Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program or Bachelor's degree. Experience: • 5-10 years of litigation experience in law firms. Skills: • Proficient in legal research, preferably on Westlaw or similar platforms. • Exceptional attention to detail and communication skills. • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Compensation: $65,000 + Bonus
