We are looking for a Senior Paralegal who sees themselves in the following description: • Expert in drafting outlines, chronologies, and document indexes. • Skilled at discerning order within chaos and identifying opportunities for organizational improvements. • Values persistent communication efforts. • Possesses a congenial personality, particularly in telephonic interactions. • Demonstrates unparalleled scheduling prowess and meticulous attention to detail. • Proficient in managing calendars, emails, spreadsheets, word processing, and navigating the internet. • Upholds a drama-free, resourceful approach to work. • Able to balance multiple responsibilities and adapt to changes with agility. • Prepared to perform all necessary tasks, including but not limited to scanning and copying. We place a high value on fostering the development of our paralegals, particularly those with a background in business litigation, including disputes related to business, partnerships, or shareholders. The ideal candidate will be someone who is self-motivated, and capable of carrying out essential tasks with minimal oversight. This full-time position will involve managing a caseload and requires a commitment of 40 hours per week at our office. Conclude with the statement, “I have read the instructions contained in the job posting and have followed the instructions.” Responsibilities: Document Management: • Organize, index, and manage legal documents and evidence pertinent to cases • Utilize electronic document management systems for document storage, retrieval, and tracking Discovery Assistance: • Oversee the discovery process • Coordinate document collection, review, and production • Assist in drafting discovery requests and responses Legal Research: • Investigate legal precedents, laws, and regulations relevant to the case • Summarize research findings for attorneys Drafting Legal Documents: • Compose preliminary legal documents like pleadings, motions, affidavits, and subpoenas for attorney review Client Interaction: • Serve as the intermediary between the attorney and the client, collecting necessary information and providing case updates Case Management: • Track case deadlines and maintain the case calendar • Liaise with staff, experts, and opposing counsel regarding case logistics Qualifications: Education & Certification: • Preferred: Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program or Bachelor's degree Experience: • 5-10 years of litigation experience in law firms Skills: • Proficient in legal research, preferably on Westlaw or similar platforms • Exceptional attention to detail and communication skills • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Compensation: $65,000 + Bonus
