Reports to: General Manager
Specific Job Functions:
profitability of the Food & Beverage Department.
Coordinate the selection, purchasing, storage, inventory, maintenance and usage of all related food and beverage supplies and equipment.
Works closely with local, state and governmental organizations in maintaining highest standards or health, sanitation and cleanliness in all food and beverage area.
Develops new and analyzes existing procedures and special promotions that are designed to improve member usage and satisfaction.
Approves the employment and of food and beverage employees and is responsible for coordination of on-the-job training programs through department managers on a regular basis.
Coordinate the development, interpretation and implementation of Club policies, operating procedures and
training programs, manuals, directives, menus, work schedules, rules and regulations for the food and beverage staff and personnel.
Responsible for obtaining maximum results in the utilization and appearance of the food and beverage areas, the quality levels, performance and standards of service.
Develops new techniques of service towards maximum member satisfaction at minimum operating costs.
Develop and maintain effective communications between all operating departments.
Continue to develop and enhance member preferred offerings in food and service
Performs other job-related duties as required by the Club General Manager.
Comfortable with being visible to members and employees in the dining areas of the club
Utilizes the club approved Performance Management System to provide feedback to direct reports
Qualifications
College education or equivalent, hotel or business administration degree preferred.
Organizational skills to function effectively with attention to detail while meeting established deadlines.
A good working knowledge of PC software (MS Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, etc.).
Good understanding of industry hospitality programs such as menu engineering
Ability to establish guidelines for proper staffing to maximize efficiency and minimize labor costs.
Perception and awareness of individual needs, the ability to handle all situations professionally
Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with members, guests, management and employees.
Work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment.
Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude and ability to deal effectively with guests, management, employees and outside contacts while working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
Able to frequently move freely about the office, sit for long periods and withstand various activities.
Must have excellent interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts, maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to company standards
