    Job Description

    The Private Dining Coordinator is an integral part of the Food & Beverage team and is responsible for the successful planning & execution of private events in The George Restaurant, The Olympic Bar, Shuckers and Founders Club. They ensure that our guests have a seamless and inspiring experience and juggle multiple events simultaneously.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Establish and maintain client relationships
    • Prospect and cultivate new clients and revenue streams
    • Collaboratively work with our F&B and Sales teams
    • Responding promptly to reservation inquiries
    • Creating custom menus for clients in InDesign & Office software
    • Knowing all F&B menus and understanding upselling techniques
    • Planning event details and all aspects, including seating, dining and guests
    • Creating reliable financial reports and collecting payments on time
    • Creating quarterly competitive-set analysis for F&B
    • Assisting F&B division will menu formatting & printing
    • Filling out event orders with function details in a timely matter
    • Coordinating between culinary and front-of-house teams on menus, service notes, timeliness and general guest expectations
    • Managing events and addressing potential issues that may arise
    • Perform other duties assigned by manager (i.e. hosting, administrative duties, assisting in all aspects of the operation)

    • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
    • A passion for luxury hospitality
    • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
    • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
    • Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a team
    • Must hold valid authorization to work in the US
    • Food Handlers Card and MAST permit required
    • Microsoft Office programs basic knowledge
    • InDesign knowledge an asset
    • Prior Restaurant experience an asset
    • Prior Luxury hotel experience an asset
    • Flexible working hours: AM, PM, Weekends and Holidays as needed
    • Work Authorization for USA required

    Physical Qualifications:

    • Ability to stand on feed throughout shift
    • Ability to lift and carry up to 25lbs
    • Frequent sitting on office chair
    • Frequent computer use
