    Job Description: Restaurant Manager

    Position: Restaurant Manager Location: Cypress Creek Golfers’ Club Smithfield Reports To: General Manager

    Overview

    Cypress Creek Golfers’ Club Smithfield is seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Manager to oversee the operations of our restaurant, including the kitchen, dining room, bar, and event spaces. The Restaurant Manager will lead the team in delivering exceptional dining experiences, ensuring smooth operations, and maintaining the highest standards of service and quality.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Leadership and Team Management

    Recruit, train, and supervise all restaurant staff, including kitchen, dining room, and bar teams.

    Develop and maintain schedules to ensure proper staffing levels for regular service and events.

    Foster a positive work environment that encourages collaboration, professionalism, and excellence.

    Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate goals, updates, and feedback.

    1. Kitchen Management

    Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation.

    Collaborate with chefs on menu planning, seasonal updates, and special event offerings.

    Monitor inventory levels and oversee ordering to maintain stock while minimizing waste.

    Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and storage.

    1. Dining Room Operations

    Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming dining room environment.

    Oversee seating arrangements, table settings, and overall ambiance to enhance guest experiences.

    Address customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional and timely manner.

    Ensure servers and dining room staff are knowledgeable about menu items, specials, and promotions.

    1. Bar Management

    Oversee bar operations, including inventory, beverage preparation, and presentation.

    Ensure the bar team provides prompt, accurate, and courteous service.

    Develop and promote beverage specials, seasonal offerings, and creative cocktails.

    Monitor compliance with alcohol-serving laws and club policies.

    1. Event Coordination

    Plan and execute events, including golf tournaments, private parties, and corporate functions.

    Collaborate with the events team (if applicable) to ensure seamless coordination of food, beverages, and service.

    Oversee setup, execution, and cleanup for events, ensuring guest satisfaction.

    1. Service Expectations and Standards

    Uphold and enforce the club’s standards for exceptional service and hospitality.

    Monitor service quality and provide coaching or corrective actions as needed.

    Establish and enforce operational procedures, ensuring consistency in service delivery.

    Set performance goals and regularly review staff performance against these expectations.

    1. Financial and Administrative Oversight

    Develop and manage budgets for restaurant operations, events, and staffing.

    Monitor sales, expenses, and profitability, taking corrective actions as needed.

    Track and report daily, weekly, and monthly financial metrics to the General Manager.

    Negotiate with vendors for the best pricing and quality on food, beverages, and supplies.

    Qualifications

    Education and Experience:

    Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).

    3+ years of experience in restaurant management, including oversight of kitchen, dining room, and bar operations.

    Proven track record of successfully managing events and achieving high guest satisfaction.

    Skills and Competencies:

    Strong leadership and team-building abilities.

    Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

    Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

    Proficiency in restaurant POS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

    Deep understanding of food and beverage operations, safety standards, and customer service best practices.
