We are looking for a Quality Assurance Manager to join our team. This role will oversee day-to-day operations and long-term planning of the quality functions of the manufacturing facility which includes production, R&D and packaging . The QA Manager must have experience and working knowledge of quality programs. This position directly reports to the VP, Manufacturing and interfaces heavily with multiple teams. This position requires a cooperative team approach and a clear and consistent communication style.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and revise company SOPs to ensure food quality and safety

Conduct research of scientific literature related to food safety, quality, food science, and microbiology

Plan and develop systems and procedures to improve the operating quality and efficiency of the dept

Coordinate and execute solutions from process analysis, reporting analysis and general company projects

Establish & execute quarterly objectives

Execute and delegate all product evaluations, plant audits and all relevant daily paperwork

Supervise HACCP and FSMA, Pathogen Monitoring, SQF, SSOP & GMP programs

Educate/train employees on food safety and quality issues and company policies

Lead through example - promote safety and quality performance and help establish culture

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

In depth knowledge of plant sanitation, HACCP, FSMA, SSOP and GMPs

Problem-solving, critical-thinking, and analytical skills

Ability to compile, analyze, and present data

Familiarity with Quality Control laboratory procedures and equipment (pH meter, moisture analyzer, texture analyzer)

Food Science background.

Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
