Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated team player to assist in preparing, tying, and hanging sausage products in our Stuffing Room. This hands-on role is essential to maintaining the high-quality standards Kowalski is known for. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare stuffed meat products for cooking, including linking, tying, and hanging.
- Assist with casing preparation, equipment setup, and supply restocking.
- Conduct SPC weight checks when line operator is unavailable.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and properly dispose of rework when needed.
- Sanitize production equipment including linker/clip machines using approved cleaning methods.
- Ensure proper HACCP tagging and help maintain documentation accuracy.
- Follow all company safety and food safety protocols including SOPs, SSOPs, GMPs, and MIOSHA standards.
- Work in refrigerated conditions throughout the shift.
Work Hours:
- Typical start time is 6:00 AM, Monday–Friday. 8–10-hour shifts.
- Schedule and start times may vary based on production needs.
- Flexibility is required, including weekend availability as needed.
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Previous food production or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Ability to lift and push up to 40 lbs., twist, bend, and stand for 8+ hours in a cold environment.
- Comfortable working in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment.
