    Supervisors serve to assist with the successful operation of the Food Services Ministry while supporting the team members, guests, volunteers and local community through Christ-filled love and respect.

    Hours of Availability: Full Time with a flexible hours and days vary - availability 4"30am - 7:30pm; 7 days - rotating schedule for coverage

    Compensation: DOE

    · Strong work ethic and commitment to work as scheduled to include holidays and weekends as assigned.

    · Strong listening, as well as written & verbal communication skills to execute instructions, keep others informed and exhibit professionalism.

    · Demonstrated attention to detail/strong organizational skills to assist with multiple daily assignments and special projects.

    · Ambitious to exceed expectations.

    Job Specific Qualifications:

    ServSafe certification; preferred or willing to obtain at company expense

    Knowledge base of Kitchen Operation, Kitchen Equipment, Volume Cooking, and Food Safety.

    Ability to adapt menu based on current donations.

    Ability to lift up to 50 pounds or more and/or push or pull up to 100 lbs with assistance.

    Willing to work flexible schedules as needed (all shifts, weekends and holidays)

    Compliance with Food Safety & Service standards

    Career Summary: Supervisors serve in a variety of supportive roles to provide seamless processes for providing meals to our guests and the local community. Includes line plan, prepare and cook food items to ensure the highest quality service and experience. Volunteer coordinator, serve meals and ensure the kitchen, pantry and dining room are clean, safe and secure for each meal. Maintains the freezer and assist in planning and organizing special events.

    All Rescue Mission of Roanoke team members may be asked to complete other duties as assigned by the leadership/management. Expectation is to complete these assignments as requested.

    Physical demands essential to performing the job duties of this position (not an all-inclusive list).

    Extensive periods of standing, stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, and pulling objects up to 50 pounds

    Temperatures may vary depending on activity/events; indoor/outdoor exposure

    Noise levels may vary depending on activity/event and/or location

    Consistently - Communicating with others to exchange information; verbally and/or electronically

    Frequent - Moving around to accomplish a task

    Frequent– exposure to cleaning with general chemicals

    Occasional computer use; computer screen exposure
