    Job Summary:

    The Shift Lead supports smooth daily operations by keeping the stall stocked and organized, assisting with training, and serving as an on-site resource for the team. This role ensures food safety, consistency, and an efficient workflow throughout each shift. While not a people manager, the Shift Lead helps guide the team, supports troubleshooting, and maintains standards to keep service running effectively.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Operational Support – Main Focus

    Put away incoming orders accurately and maintain organized storage areas

    Keep the stall stocked throughout the day to ensure smooth service

    Create proactive restock lists and communicate low or missing items promptly

    Maintain order and cleanliness across prep, service, and storage spaces

    Review daily Pull/Thaw and Waste logs, following up on missed items or concerns

    Step into cook or cashier roles as needed during busy hours or shortages

    Team Resource & Support

    Work 4 cook/cashier shifts per week and be on standby 1 day per week

    Serve as the first person on call for shift call-outs and staffing gaps

    Cover staff breaks as needed to maintain service flow

    Cover the Manager’s days off and provide shift leadership support

    Help train new staff and provide refreshers for current team members

    Act as an on-site resource by:

    Answering process or product questions

    Providing quick troubleshooting

    Reinforcing food safety and cleanliness standards

    Shift Communication

    Share daily reminders, updates, and any changes with the team

    Document and relay incidents, recurring issues, or concerns to the manager or owner

    Qualifications:

    Reliable, organized, and proactive

    FOH and BOH Restaurant Experience

    Strong communicator who leads by example

    Comfortable maintaining structure, cleanliness, and consistency in daily operations
