Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and passionate Cook/Chef to join our vibrant food truck team. The ideal candidate will have experience in fast-paced kitchen environments, a passion for food, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. You will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals while maintaining a clean and efficient workspace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items based on established recipes and standards.
- Ensure food quality, presentation, and portion control meet company standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, food storage, and food truck area.
- Assist in menu planning, including food specials and seasonal offerings.
- Handle food inventory, including ordering, receiving, and storing supplies.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Interact with customers, taking orders, and providing information about menu items.
- Collaborate with the food truck team to ensure smooth operations during service.
- Participate in training and development programs for staff as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a cook or chef, preferably in a food truck or fast-paced restaurant setting.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
- Strong culinary skills and creativity in menu development.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays, as needed.
- Valid food handling certification is a plus.
