    FoodCorps partners with schools and communities to nourish kids’ health, education, and sense of belonging so that every child, in every school, experiences the joy and power of food. Our AmeriCorps members serve alongside educators and school nutrition leaders to provide kids with nourishing meals, food education, and culturally affirming experiences with food that celebrate and nurture the whole child. Building on this direct service, FoodCorps advocates for policy change, grows networks, and develops leaders in service of every kid’s health and wellbeing. Our goal is that by 2030, every child will have access to food education and nourishing food in school!

    What We’re Looking For:

    FoodCorps seeks a full-time, entry-level graphic designer to create and organize print and digital materials for departments across the organization. This position is responsible for addressing graphic design requests, managing FoodCorps Canva team and brand hub, and supporting asset management and taxonomy. This position reports to the Sr. Creative Manager and supports staff members across the organization to meet their design needs.

    This is a full-time, remote position.

    Who You Are:

    You are passionate about FoodCorps’ mission and have a demonstrated dedication to food justice and racial equity. You have experience creating designs in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Canva. You are an effective communicator in all of its forms, who is known for delivering high-quality work amongst competing priorities in a timely manner. Organization is your superpower and you thrive in the midst of managing logistics for various projects.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    Collaborate with the Sr. Creative Manager to design the organization's collateral, such as recipe cards for families, one-pagers for legislators, brochures for fundraisers, flyers for events and conferences, etc.

    • Create and update print designs and digital assets using Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and/or Photoshop
    • Design slide decks in Powerpoint and Google Slides
    • Create graphics for social media campaigns and posts
    • Design Canva templates
    • Manage FoodCorps Canva team and Brand Hub
    • Troubleshoot questions from staff and the Marketing and Communication team and provide technical assistance about graphic design and using Canva program
    • Adhere to brand guidelines and ensure a consistent look and feel across all FoodCorps products
    • Review and approve designs for brand consistency
    • Coordinate all graphic design projects using Asana to ensure deadlines and requests are met
    • Organize files so that they are accessible to staff
    • Support staff in finding the assets they need
    • Keep all design assets organized with their updated metadata, including photos, illustrations, graphic elements, and more
    • Coordinate printed FoodCorps templates on Moo.com, such as business cards, postcards, stickers, and etc.

    Measures of Success:

    By the end of year 1, the Graphic Designer will have:

    • A clear understanding of FoodCorps visual brand and will be comfortable answering questions related to graphic design products for the organization
    • Designed updated powerpoint and google slide decks for the organization
    • Organized FoodCorps photos, designs, and collateral so they are accessible to staff
    • Designed a suite of FoodCorps-branded policy and fundraising templates in Canva
    • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and organize projects

    This position is a Coordinator role with a salary range of $49,575 - $56,150/yr.
