CARRIER RELATIONS REPRESENTATIVE, UTILIZATION 

Forager is growing. Due to this growth, we're looking for a Carrier Relations Representative, Utilization, who is motivated, high-achieving and can pull upon their past experience in carrier sales, booking freight and relationship development. Your opportunities are endless to make an impact on our bottom line and our take rate through expert negotiation skills and relationship building.

YOUR IMPACT:

• Build relationships and develop a network of reliable carriers to populate long-term routing guides as well as cover transactional shipments
• Hyper focus on take rate and ensure the best carriers at the right price point are booked
• Manage uncovered loads and clear the load board before the end of every day, ensuring on-time pickups for all customers
• Maintain a strong understanding of the carrier market and identify trends
• Update Forager's Carrier CRM as you identify new opportunities within your supply
• Make calls to carriers and drivers to track loads while they are en route as required
• Assist Sales, Success, and the Pricing team in quoting spot freight opportunities
• Collaborate with Product, Sales, and Success teams to help ideate new features
• Ensure excellent onboarding for new opportunities
• Discuss account strategy with Carrier Relations Procurement Manager
• Contribute to an environment that empowers individuals while building a strong sense of team

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

• 3+ years of experience building carrier relationships and/or booking loads in a freight brokerage or similar environment
• 1+ year of cross-border experience a plus
• Bilingual in Spanish is a requirement in order to perform the necessary functions of the role
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and collaborate effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Strong work ethic and persistence combined with patience and a positive attitude
• Well established organizational and time management skills with an attention to detail
• Creativity and resourcefulness to resolve issues efficiently
• Effective communicator, both written and verbal
• Self-motivated, entrepreneurial type willing to take initiative and do what needs to be don

We're building an automated and collaborative marketplace that connects cross-border shippers (customers) with their optimal carrier (trucking companies) based on region, price, and service rating.

This means all new hires will be onboarded and trained remotely. In the future, this position will be expected to work onsite at our Chicago HQ, once local government orders indicate that it is possible in addition to when Forager decides it is safe to do so.
