The rotational internship gives great exposure to our nationally-scaled Specialty Lending Divisions, including cash flow lending, asset based lending and real estate lending. The internship serves as an introduction to our Portfolio Management Analyst position, and allows you to take part in a vibrant and fast-paced environment. We are eager to add more to our fun and fast-growing team. This position will be located at our Chevy Chase, MD headquarters.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Assist portfolio analyst in the management of credit risk, ensuring that asset quality remains strong, and executing strategies to limit the risk of lossHelp manage day-to-day borrowing activity of assigned asset-backed loan (ABL) investmentsPerform financial analysis and projections, tracking the trends and developments that may impact loan performance under various economic scenarios Aid underwriting team in the due diligence process for both ABL's and term loansParticipate in weekly Team-Wide Portfolio Management MeetingsComplete capstone project with intern cohort to present to senior leadershipParticipate in Summer Lunch-and-Learn Series across lending platformsComplete additional portfolio and underwriting analysis/projects on an ad hoc basisDESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree from a 4-year accredited institutionStrong financial statement analysis skillsHigh proficiency with Excel based modeling and other Microsoft Office productsAcute attention to detail with the ability to think critically and independentlyExceptional attitude and commitment to teamworkExcellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skillsWell-developed organizational skills, including the ability to multi-task and prioritize workForbright Bank is committed to cultivating an environment that promotes diversity as a fundamental value.
