    Description:

    The Scriptwriter is responsible for gathering necessary information for a training course and organizing the material in a clear and concise manner. The Scriptwriter conducts research utilizing internal documents as a resource; external research may be conducted when appropriate. The Scriptwriter is also responsible for updating and maintaining the training course outline, which contains lesson titles, objectives, overhead job numbers, cost codes and the specific participants for each lesson. The Scriptwriter writes the content as a Technical Writer and defines technical terms when they are introduced in a lesson series. The goal is to write lesson content in layperson terms that concisely and specifically provide the necessary information to meet lesson objectives.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Writing, Instructional Design, English, or similar preferred
    • Experience with Technical Writing and/or SOP/Documentation authoring
    • High Technical Aptitude Required
    • Ability to make complex information condensed, clear, and concise
    • Excellent Communication Skills Required
    • Ability to Proofread and Correct Grammatical/Typographical Errors with high attention to detail
    • Possess Excellent Computer Skills (Microsoft Word and Excel)
    • Manage Multiple Tasks & Responsibilities
    • Ability to Meet Deadlines in a Fast-Paced Environment
