Job Description
Experienced Project Engineers will provide engineering (engineer of record) on small and medium sized jobs for the job center including average sized bid jobs. The Experienced Project Engineer is an integral part of Ford and has a significant role in assisting other engineers as needed, attending weekly meetings to coordinate division engineering requirements and other tasks delegated by the Division Engineering Manager or Director of Engineering.
A successful candidate demonstrates competence in the design and/or commissioning of audio video projects including configuration (or directing others in the tasks) of Audio tuning and DSP, Control systems, video routing and display. This would also include creation of project documentation and end user training. Every engineer is expected to approach all projects emphasizing safety, quality design, installation, and service.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with CAD/AutoCAD
Programming experience (C/C#/Crestron/Extron/AMX preferred)
Advanced Theoretical knowledge of science and technology that applies to the Audio-Video industry
Familiarity with Audio-Video and Construction Standards and Procedures
Avixa Certified Technology Specialist certification preferred
Manufacturer certifications related to Audio-Video, Construction, and Telecommunications Industries Preferred
Ability to travel up to 50% including overnight travel (while in training, amount may vary)
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Bachelor's Degree or Technical degree (E.E., E.E.T. or eq. preferred) or equivalent work experience in engineering capacity within the Audio-Video or Communications industries.
Experience with the design and installation of professional audio, video, network and lighting systems
RECOMMENDED SKILLS:
Advanced Troubleshooting and problem-solving proficiency with AV systems and individual components.
Advanced Ability to overcome and adapt to adverse situations associated with AV systems integration.
Advanced Ability to collaborate and articulate highly technical concepts with internal and external customers.
Ability to design and draft AV systems for small, medium, and large sized projects
WORKING CONDITIONS:
May involve extensive travel for weeks at a time
May work long hours, nights, weekends, or holidays if required
