    POSITION OVERVIEW:

    Ford Fairfield is seeking a self-motivated Service Advisor in our busy Fleet Department to join our team.  In this role, you will initiate Fleet services and repairs by ascertaining performance problems and services requested; developing estimates; writing repair orders; maintaining great customer rapport and records.

    DAILY DUTIES:

    • Ascertain problems and services by listening to customer's description of symptoms; clarifying description of problems; conducting inspections; checking vehicle maintenance records; examining service schedules.

    • Verifies aftermarket warranty and service contract coverage by examining records and papers, explaining provisions and exclusions.

    • Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor, calculating customer's payment.

    • Prepares repair orders by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required; obtaining approval signatures; entering RO’s into service database system.

    • Check on progress of repair throughout the day.

    • Contact customers regarding any changes in the estimate or promise time.

    • Be familiar with "write it right" procedures.

    • Maintain good customer rapport by explaining estimates and expected return of vehicle; obtaining customer's approval of estimates; obtaining and providing contact telephone numbers; answering questions and concerns; arranging towing and temporary transportation.

    • Maintains automotive records by recording problems and corrective actions planned.

    • Some invoicing, billing and filing.

    • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.

    • Enhance organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

    • Other related duties as required

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 5 year’s minimum experience as a Fleet Advisor
    • Ford Experience
    • CDK Experience
    • Excellent customer service and communication skills
    • Good organization skills
    • Must have a valid unrestricted California Driver’s License
