Job description

• MUST have previous hospital experience.

• Supports and delivers the highest level of nutrition care to patients to meet the customer’s overall needs.

• Calculate nutritional needs, establish goals, and implement medical nutrition therapy for patients based on their overall nutritional status.

• Establish effective strategies to implement innovative programs which lead to optimal clinical nutrition and positive financial outcomes

• Comply with regulatory standards – both Federal and State and accrediting agencies adhering to confidentiality, HIPPA regulations, residents’ right policies and Joint Commission regulations.

• Collaborate with IDT (Interdisciplinary Team) to provide quality nutrition and culinary program

• Review menu cycle for nutrient analysis and diet consistencies

• Supports quality assurance initiatives in the kitchen

• Implement Health & Wellness initiatives

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and communication skills to encourage changes in nursing and kitchen management.
• 3 years of healthcare/hospitals or Behavioral Health experience
• 3 years Registered Dietitian experience

· Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degre e

· Basic Functional Experience - Meets eligibility requirements for certification as a Registered Dietitian
