    Forefront Healthcare is looking for a Part-time Diet Technician for Greenfield, Wisconsin!

    The Registered Diet Technician provides food and nutrition services to residents under the supervision of the Registered Dietitian (RD). Primary responsibilities include: participation in the Nutrition Care Process (NCP) as determined by the RD for nutrition assessments; developing and implementing nutrition intervention/plan of care for quarterlies and low risk residents; documenting medical, food, and nutrition related data; reviewing resident menus to ensure daily nutrient needs are being met; providing individualized or group nutrition education; monitoring meal, snack, and/or medical food intake to contribute to evaluation of resident’s progress and revision of intervention/plan of care; monitoring the quality and accuracy of food served to residents; and maintaining professional competency and skills required for professional practice.

    This is Part-time position: 24 hours a week

    _ Responsibilities_
    ● Assist in establishing proper diet plans for the residents in accordance with their preference, health, and physician orders.
    ● Evaluate the health and diet needs of residents.
    ● Calculate resident nutritional requirements.
    ● Educate other dietary staff about food and nutrition.
    ● Review therapeutic and regular diet plans and menus to assure that they are in
    compliance with physician orders.
    ● Ensure that charted nutrition assessments are complete and timely.
    ● Complete quarterly nutritional assessments; educate on diet if needed; record food
    preferences, and promote quality food service.
    ● Plans and presents in-service education programs for the Dietary Department as needed
    and with assistance from the Registered Dietitian.
    ● Ensures continued compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
    ● Works with Dietary Manager and Registered Dietitian to achieve quality food service.
    ● Reports any problems to the Dietary Manager and/or Registered Dietitian.
    ● Understand facility’s fire and disaster plans; follow established procedures during drills
    and actual emergencies.
    ● Performs other tasks as necessary and appropriate when assigned by the Registered
    Dietitian

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    0-2 years experience in a healthcare related foodservice setting preferred.
    Must possess a current active license/certification to practice as a Diet Technician.
    Must possess knowledge and skills necessary to provide dietary services appropriate to the
    age-related needs of residents.

    Must have knowledge of HACCP guidelines.
    Associate’s degree required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

    Additional Information

    $20.00- $25.00/hour
