  • Responsibilities

    Provide technical expertise for robotic applications to ensure product quality and continuous improvement to the manufacturing processes

    Responsible for troubleshooting robotic systems, performing preventative and predictive maintenance on systems to minimize downtime

    Provide training and technical support to Production and Skilled Trade Team Members.
    Ensure that operator safety devices function properly.
    Program complex robotic systems, such as vision systems.
    Evaluate the efficiency and reliability of industrial robotic systems, reprogramming or calibrating to achieve maximum quantity and quality
    Provide support to assembly operators and plant skill trades about robots functionality
    Ability to perform electrical diagnosis, recommend repair or repair as needed
    Support goal of achieving first time quality and efficiency.
    Maintain accurate documentation resulting in shared knowledge of issues and lessons learned.
    Troubleshoot and train others on identifying root causes of equipment failures.
    Facilitate on-the-job team member training.
    Oversee all upgrades and programming changes.
    Utilize good working knowledge of all technologies used in the development and build of automated assembly lines.
    Develop and implement innovative solutions to manufacturing issues related to product development or enhancement.
    Execute equipment efficiency studies, through time and motion studies, or standard data to ensure effective line balancing.

    Education and/or Experience:
    Must have high school diploma or GED.
    2-year degree from an accredited technical college or post-secondary school with emphasis on Robotics
    AutoCAD, CAD viewer programs and Robotic Programming
    Robot programming and integration of associated systems in a manufacturing environment.

    Environmental Conditions:
    Must be able to work in various locations within and outside the manufacturing plant.
    Must be able to rotate working shifts and weekend overtime to meet department requirements with a minimum amount of supervision..
    Safety precautions to be observed in the maintenance and installation of electronic and mechanical equipment.
    Must be comfortable with working at heights and within confined spaces.
