Currently looking for experienced Tool & Die Makers for 2nd and 3rd shift with a company in the Knoxville, TN area. Should be a Journeyman with a minimum of 5 years experience. Relocation and temporary housing provided.

Responsibilities

Responsible for quality and conformance of product to customer specifications

Repair and maintain stamping dies and assembly tooling

Support production department with tooling needs

Respond to shop-floor calls in a timely manner

Assess complex tooling and equipment needs and refurbish as required

Troubleshoot and solve tooling problems without assistance

Set up and operate all tool room equipment exception of CNC equipment

Comply with all IAFT 16949 & ISO 14001 procedures and work instructions

Should have a Crane certification

Basic shop math and trigonometry

Ability to access tooling both in and out of machines to troubleshoot

Ability to use precise measuring equipment

Ability to operate all standard tool room equipment

Ability to train and develop apprentices

Tool room machinery including: lathes, milling machine, surface grinders, drill press, saws; hand tools; overhead crane; forklift Precision measurement tools
