JOB PROFILE: To make sure that all robots, PLC’s, and peripheral equipment is running properly.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1 Build & maintain robotic End Of Arm Tooling (EOAT) for Hot Stamp Lines
2 Ensure that all robots and peripheral equipment are operating properly
3 Assist in the installation, programming and de-bugging of all equipment
4 Work closely with the Maintenance department to determine priorities for project implementation and/or resource needs
5 Assist Maintenance Technicians and Tool & Die Makers with any troubleshooting, diagnostics or repair tasks on automated equipment
6 Ensure that the documentation for all robotic material handling parameters and programs are kept current
Safety, Health, Environmental: Support and comply with all TS16949 & ISO14001 procedures and work instructions. Cooperate with all local, state and federal agencies, such as OSHA or the EPA, in the event of an inspection. .
EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent. A two year degree in electronics, computer science, or equivalent experience preferred
TECHNICAL EDUCATION: A minimum of two years experience programming and troubleshooting robotics equipment (preferably PICO or similar systems). A thorough understanding and programming proficiency of Allen Bradley controls equipment (preferably PLC 5 and SLC 500, programming of Panelview 550, 1200 networking, IMC motion control and Omron PLC
QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of three years proven experience in industrial equipment, equipment specification and equipment installation Fundamental understanding of material handling principles and how they apply to robotic applications Thorough understanding of the operation, control and adjustment of assembly and/or press automation equipment Thorough understanding of robotic programming Industrial Electrical License preferred
