    JOB SUMMARY:  

    To provide support in the Guest Dining Department with special emphasis as a dishwasher.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Performs dishwashing responsibilities according to sanitary requirements and department procedures.
    • Maintains the dish machines and dishwashing area within sanitation guidelines.
    • Maintains the dumbwaiter and the stairs and ensures sanitation guidelines.
    • Reports needed repairs to the supervisor.
    • Assists with basic food preparation when needed.
    • Assists with food deliveries as directed by the supervisor and cleans and maintains coolers, warmers and equipment.
    • Seeks to develop capabilities in the area of basic food preparation.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
    • Actively participates in staff spiritual life activities.

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 

    • Working towards high school diploma or equivalent. 
    • Valid food handler’s card, or willingness to obtain card.

    While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and requires sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate light and heavy kitchen machinery and the following kitchen tools: knives, stoves, ovens, and other small and large kitchen appliances. Requires moderate to heavy physical work; some lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects up to 50 pounds or over. Requires visual acuity to read words and numbers and speaking and hearing ability sufficient to communicate in person.
