    Manufacturing Test Technician (Equipment FAT)

    Summary/Objective

    Forge Nano Inc, a fast-growing materials company with a focus on manufacturing equipment for nano-scale coatings across a wide range of markets is seeking a detail-oriented Manufacturing Test Technician (Equipment Debug and Final Test Acceptance) reporting to the equipment Production Supervisor. This position covers a broad range of duties, including assembling equipment, testing equipment, completing documentation, provide continuous improvements, and helping with facility tasks.

    Essential Functions & Responsibilities

    • Perform assembly tasks, including wiring, bolting, light machining, etc.
    • Performs general housekeeping, maintenance and organization of the production, machine shop, and warehouse areas.
    • Follow necessary documentation for procedures, processes, and best-known-methods including work instructions, standard operating procedures, and completing relevant checklists.
    • Support facility maintenance and improvements, such as hanging ductwork, routing tubing, etc.
    • Assist in overflow powder material production work on the manufacturing floor.
    • Maintain a safe work environment and staying OSHA compliant with relevant safety training.

    Required Education and Experience

    • High School Diploma or Equivalent or better
    • 6+ years assembly or manufacturing relevant experience.

    Preferred Skills and Experience

    • Detail oriented
    • Familiar with Office Products: Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.
    • Experience working in an ISO environment.
    • Experience following and/or writing work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOP).
    • Diligent organization and the ability to follow checklists exactly and completely.
    • The insight to look for the answer and asks questions if something seems incorrect.
    • Manufacturing quality control experience
    • Ability to plan for deadlines and provide feedback to managers around feasibility and constraints.
    • Thin-Film process equipment experience: operating and/or maintaining vacuum thin film process equipment.

    Specialized Test Engineering/Debug, FAT Experience

    • Experience commissioning vacuum process equipment.
    • Strong electrical/mechanical troubleshooting skills.
    • Ability to safely work on and troubleshoot High Voltage electrical circuits.
    • Ability to read, interpret, correct (redline) electrical and PID schematics.
    • Fundamental understanding of basic subsystem components: Pressure Transducers, Mass Flow Controllers, AC/DC/Stepper Motors, Resistive Heaters, Relays, Contactors.
    • Basic understanding of PLC operations, ladder logic.
    • CVD Coating experience.
    • Apply written and verbal communication skills to effectively execute work instructions and report information.

    Work Environment

    Work is carried out in a large technical facility. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be around hazardous chemicals at times. The employee will be required to wear all appropriate safety equipment including but not limited to eye protection, gloves, steel toe shoes, lab coat, and in the plant, a hard hat. An employee in this position works in an environment in which safety, environmental and health concerns may demand constant attention. Strict adherence to corporate and/or plant policies, rules and regulations in these areas is required.

    The employee occasionally will work near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear (communicate). The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and reach with hands and arms. Lifting of containers upwards of 50lbs will be required periodically.

    Travel

    No travel is expected to be required for this position.

    Compensation

    • Hourly $35-40 based on experience.
    • Eligible for overtime with manager approval
