    Forklift Catering is currently looking for experienced Event Chefs to create exceptional culinary experiences for our guests. The ideal candidate must be a reliable team player, have excellent attention to detail and be capable of following the direction of our Executive Chef's vision for each menu to achieve a memorable event for clients and their guests. Applicants located outside of the U.S. will not be considered. Responsibilities: • Unload vans and set up the off-site kitchen for the event • Prepare meals for catered events according to customer specifications • Ensure food is prepared to the highest standard according to food safety regulations • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment • Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate tasks to ensure smooth and efficient event service • Assist in cleanup of the venue, breakdown of the event, and loading the van Qualifications: • A strong visual aesthetic • Basic understanding of cooking and knife-handling skills • Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures. ServSafe Certified is preferred, but not required • Previous experience cheffing catered events preferred; but will train the right individual • Professional communication skills are required • Ability to take direction • Ability to read and follow cooking and plating directions • Ability to work in a team environment or independently • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure • Ability to maintain a flexible schedule • Willingness to drive a van is preferred. Driving a van is a requirement for any Event Head Chef candidate • There are no guaranteed shifts/hours for this position Compensation: $25 - $35 hourly
