    This is a newly created role based on company growth! It is located on-site in our new, state-of-the-art (River North) Chicago office.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing contact with existing customers, identifying new opportunities, and following up on potential sales leads. The Sales Representative will also monitor industry trends in order to identify emerging markets and develop plans to utilize those markets to expand revenue.

    This candidate will maintain daily contact with the sales team and company owners. Occasional travel will be required to visit and build relationships with customers at their facilities.

    • Job Type: Full-time
    • Pay: Entry Level Salary + Commission ($60,000-100,000)
    • Required Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent job experience
    • Preferred Experience: Heavy Equipment Sales or Rentals: 1-3 Years

    Essential Position Duties

    • Displays excellent customer service and communication skills by calling on and following up with customers daily
    • Collaborate daily with sales team members to ensure customer satisfaction and keeping inventory organized
    • Develop existing accounts and continuously prospect for new customers in order to achieve established sales goals and objectives
    • Utilize all available resources to reach out to prospects and attempt to turn those prospects into customers, including social media platforms such as LinkedIn
    • Sell used material handling and construction equipment
    • Buy or offer trade-in value to customers looking to sell their used material handling and construction equipment
    • Manage rentals for used material handling and construction equipment
    • Completing and keeping organized all necessary paperwork
    • Other related duties and projects assigned by management
    • Promptly follow up on sales leads assigned

    Position Requirements

    • Enjoys thinking outside of the box and willing to go the extra mile to close sales
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Strong Mac OS computer skills and understanding of spreadsheet software
    • Gain knowledge of the units we sell and a good knowledge of the industries we sell in, with a strong respect for the Hoist Liftruck and Toyota brands specifically
    • The ability to uphold professionalism with customers, including personal appearance, and respectful toward team members
    • A self-starter and motivator for the sales team
    • 0-3 years of related experience
    • Bachelor's degree

    Work Relationships, Physical Effort and Work Environment

    Minimal visits to our Bedford Park, IL service facility. On occasion, it is likely that employees will be exposed to loud noise from heavy machinery demonstrations. May have minimal exposure to some hazards at various times such as mechanical parts, chemicals, fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases and oil at our service shop facility. The normal physical activity includes standing, sitting, walking, talking and hearing.

We pride ourselves on having fully-trained technicians on hand 24/7, turning jobs around within 15 days or less. Additionally, we offer remote service throughout the U.S. specifically Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin and Michigan.
