Job Summary

Maiers Transport & Warehousing has a full time warehouse position available immediately. We are looking for a forklift operator to move pallets and material around our facilities.

You will be operating a forklift with the utmost care to ensure efficiency and safety. The position includes driving around warehouses & outdoor spaces. You must be a responsible individual & have experience in driving forklifts is required. Skilled use of clamp trucks & oversized outdoor forklift is preferred as well as experience with unloading/unloading cardboard.

Applicant must be self-motivated & have the ability to complete paperwork accurately. Personal vehicle required.

Hours are Monday thru Friday, 7am to 3:30pm with flexibility for vacation coverage.

Responsibilities

Loading & unloading van trailers, flatbed trailers, shipping containers & railcars.

Move pallets and crates from one location to another

Monitor products for damages, shortages, or quality control issues and report on those issues

Perform regular inspections and maintenance of machinery to ensure optimal operation

Maintain accurate inventory records and activity logs

Adhere to all health and safety regulations, legal guidelines, and company policies

Assist in maintaining a safe and organized work environment

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Forklift Operator is preferred

Valid forklift certification

High school diploma/GED

Familiarity with and ability to use industrial equipment

Strong attention to detail

Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting heavy objects

Excellent hand-eye coordination
