Position Overview
We are seeking experienced and safety-focused Forklift Operators to join a high-volume manufacturing and warehouse operation. In this role, you will safely operate industrial forklifts, support shipping and receiving, and ensure accurate movement of materials in a fast-paced environment.
You will be part of a team responsible for loading up to 25 trailers per day, supporting both an on-site manufacturing plant and an off-site warehouse.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily forklift inspections and complete safety checklists
- Safely operate forklifts to move materials throughout the facility
- Load and unload trucks according to production schedules and customer requirements
- Track, verify, and document all incoming and outgoing shipments
- Use RF scanners to process returns and deliveries
- Supply production lines with materials as needed
- Ensure all materials are handled to prevent damage
- Properly palletize and stretch wrap products
- Maintain cleanliness of warehouse, loading docks, and equipment
- Safely change propane tanks on forklifts
- Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time
- Assist other departments and perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Valid driver's license required
- Previous forklift experience in a high-speed, high-volume environment preferred
- Forklift certification within the past 12 months preferred (training available)
- Ability to operate RF scanners and learn internal systems
- Basic math skills (decimals, fractions)
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Must be able to read, write, and understand basic English
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Reliable attendance is essential
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Non-climate-controlled warehouse and manufacturing environment
- Ability to sit for extended periods while operating equipment
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing stairs
- Ability to drive in reverse for extended periods
- Fast-paced, high-volume setting
- 1st and 2nd Shift Available
