Job Summary
A Forklift Operator is experienced in a fast-paced shipping and receiving environment. Working knowledge of receiving, shipping, order assembly, inventory control, and warehouse processes is considered a plus. Responsibilities include preparing merchandise and securing it for safe, efficient transport; using paper-based or RF communication systems to determine priorities; and performing routine maintenance on forklifts and other material handling tools.
Pay Rate: Starting at $16.00 per hour
Shifts Available: 1st & 2nd Shift
Responsibilities
- Load and unload inbound and outbound goods
- Transport materials for storage within the facility
- Optimize travel throughout the warehouse to ensure operational efficiency
- Inspect material handling equipment for damage and schedule maintenance or repairs as needed
- Manage inventory with accurate data collection to maintain inventory integrity
- Adhere to all safety standards while maintaining a safe, orderly, and clean work environment
- Perform housekeeping duties to ensure all work areas are free of debris
- Follow established procedures for reporting overages, shortages, and damaged materials
Requirements / Qualifications
- Proven experience as a forklift operator
- Forklift certification is required and will be provided by a trainer
- Strong attention to detail
- Basic mathematical skills
- Knowledge of industrial and material handling equipment
- Excellent coordination and physical condition, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs
