JOB SUMMARY

Carpenters/Form Setters perform various carpentry tasks involving physical labor on highway, road, and bridge construction projects. They build forms for retaining walls, pipes, and bridges. Carpenters/Form Setters utilize their own tools and work efficiently and safely.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for forming, bracing, and securing structure forms

Align plum forms

Bracing forms

Build forms for retaining walls, pipes, and bridges

Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Basic knowledge of operating hand and power tools used in construction

Knowledge of how to properly read and understand construction plans, sketches, and blueprints

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

6 to 12 months of previous carpenter experience in all types of structural forms in Symon, EFCO, and Wood forms for CIP

Advanced wood forming experience

must have your own hand tools, such as a hammer, pouch, level, 8” crescent wrench, tape measure, etc.

Ability to perform physical requirements of the job (prolonged physical exertions, including standing. reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, and climbing)

Ability to work in various conditions with exposure to weather elements

Flexibility to work day, night, and weekends as needed

Pile Driving Experience is a plus

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

Experience with pile driving

OSHA 30 certification

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS

Must pass a criminal background check

Must pass a drug screening

Must pass a motor vehicle check

Ability to work in various conditions with exposure to weather elements

Ability to perform physical requirements of the job (prolonged physical exertions, including standing. reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 50 lbs., carrying, and climbing)

Flexibility to workday, night, and weekends as needed
