Overview

We are seeking an experienced Operations Specialist - Machining to join our team at our facility in Pittsburgh, PA, 15201. As an Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machining equipment including

3-5 axis VMC, 4-5 axis HMC, and mill-turn centers

. You will also need to possess strong troubleshooting and mechanical assembly skills to ensure the smooth operation of our CNC machines. If you have a passion for machining and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you!

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain,

CNC machines such as: 3-5 axis Vertical mills, 4-5 axis Horizontal mills, Mill-turn centers

• Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate machining

• Maintain and manage tool compensation offsets

• Utilize deburring techniques to remove excess material from machined parts

• Perform manual operations such as: wrenching, lifting, grinding, sanding, polishing

• Perform basic machine maintenance

• Troubleshoot CNC machines to identify and resolve any issues

• Apply mechanical troubleshooting skills to diagnose and fix equipment problems

• Assemble mechanical components as required

• Manufacture precision components for the Aerospace industry

Qualifications

• Strong manual/CNC machining skills

• Experience machining common aerospace alloys such as Aluminum and Stainless Steel

• Proficiency in blueprint reading to ensure accurate machining

• Experience working with Metric

• Experience holding tight tolerances

• Prior deburring experience in removing excess material from machined parts

• Ability to troubleshoot CNC machines and resolve issues

• Excellent mechanical troubleshooting skills

• Experience in mechanical assembly

• Ability to remain focused under pressure

• A positive attitude and growth mindset

• Familiarity with machine brands such as Doosan, Haas,

Dmg Mori, Grob

• Experience using FANUC or Siemens controller

Salary info:

$18 - $40 / hr
