    • Identify user needs to create and administer databases.
    • Experienced in creating queries
    • Creating and maintenance security
    • Maintain and implement database best practices.
    • Monitor and Analyzing databases for performance and efficiency.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve database problems
    • Schedule and monitor full and incremental backups using Veeam.
    • Application programming or development
    • Assessing, managing, and minimizing risk.
    • Excellent attention to detail
    • Review update and create documentation as it relates to team processes and policies
    • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
    • Performs other tasks and assignments as may be assigned from time to time.

    Minimum Qualifications & Requirements:

    • Possession of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred, or equivalent relevant work experience.
    • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in Database Administration.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft SQL.
    • An analytical mind with good organizational skills.
    • Ability to independently perform all the duties of the position efficiently and effectively.
    • Demonstrate strong initiative as well as excellent time management skills.
    • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

    Fort Bend Central Appraisal District (FBCAD) is a political subdivision of the State of Texas -- established in 1982 -- for the purpose of discovering and appraising property for ad valorem tax purposes -- for each local taxing unit -- within the boundaries of the district. The district has approximately 376,000 accounts to appraise each year with a total market value of approximately $107 billion. We currently serve approximately 215 local taxing units.
