Job Description
Summary: Conducts established activities of a chemical laboratory technician by performing the following duties for an industrial organization.
Essential duties and Responsibilities include the following as they relate to mil-spec painting, anodizing types I, II, and III, chem film class 1A and 3, passivation and phosphate coatings. Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree (BS) from four-year College/University or four years related experience and/or training in chemistry relating to industrial painting, anodizing, chem-film, passivation, and phosphate coatings preferred.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Additional Information
This position will require about 10% travel ability to service our other plant in the area.
