Dental Assistant Floater

Fort Washington Dental Associates is looking for a dental assistant (floater) to join their team. Practice is located in Washington Heights two blocks away from the A and 1 train. Looking for motivated individuals with a friendly and easy personality. We are looking to hire someone part/full-time.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Dental Assistant (Floater) to join our team. You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinical area.

Responsibilities:

Floater Duties:

Cleaning and decontaminating used dental instruments according to established protocols

Loading and operating sterilizers (e.g., autoclaves) to ensure proper sterilization cycles

Maintaining sterilization logs and records.

Ensuring the sterilization area is clean and organized.

Preparing treatment rooms for the next patient by restocking supplies, disinfecting surfaces, and laying out necessary instruments.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 1 years of experience with Dental assisting, preferably in a multi-specialty dental practice.

Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to multi-task effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Detail-oriented and possess a strong commitment to accuracy.

Team player with a positive and professional attitude.

Knowledge of Carestack and Slack is a plus.
