    Dental Receptionist/Biller

    Fort Washington Dental Associates is looking for a dental billing specialist to join their team. Practice is located in Washington Heights two blocks away from the A and 1 train. Looking for motivated individuals with a friendly and easy personality. We are looking to hire someone two to three days a week with the possibility of expanding to full-time.

    About the Role:

    We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Dental Receptionist/Biller to join our team. You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our front office by handling both receptionist and insurance/billing duties.

    Responsibilities:

    Receptionist Duties:

    Greet patients warmly and professionally, scheduling appointments, confirming existing appointments, and answering patient inquiries in a friendly and informative manner.

    Manage patient flow efficiently, ensuring timely check-in and check-out processes.

    Maintain accurate patient records and insurance information with our practice management software.

    Answer phone calls, directing calls appropriately and taking messages.

    Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.

    Billing Duties:

    Utilize your in-depth knowledge of dental codes and billing procedures to accurately process and submit insurance claims electronically.

    Manage patient accounts, including collecting payments, handling denials and appeals, and issuing statements.

    Work effectively with insurance companies to ensure proper reimbursements.

    Submit and follow up on pre-authorizations.

    Qualifications:

    Minimum of 2 years of experience with Dental Insurance and Billing, preferably in a multi-specialty dental practice.

    Strong understanding of dental insurance and billing procedures, including knowledge of dental codes (CDT, ADA).

    Proficient in dental practice management software and familiar with electronic claim submission (e.g., clearinghouses).

    Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

    Ability to multi-task effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

    Detail-oriented and possess a strong commitment to accuracy.

    Team player with a positive and professional attitude.

    Knowledge of Carestack and Slack is a plus.
