    Job Description

    We are currently searching for a Human Resources Specialist to support the growing team at our 1 million-square-foot distribution center in Midway, Kentucky. In this full-time on-site role, you will work closely with on-site management and our corporate office to administer all human resource plans and policies. Successful candidates will possess a thorough understanding of HR systems and an ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously. Great people skills are required, as are outstanding written and verbal communication skills.    A DAY ON THE JOB LOOKS LIKE THIS: • Assisting in implementation of company policies and procedures to support employee development  • Supporting benefits administration, performance management, recruitment, onboarding, training and orientation (for exempt, non-exempt, temporary and seasonal staff)  • Helping to develop strong communication cadence within the organization  • Participating in developing department goals, objectives and systems  • Administering compensation and performance review programs and recommending opportunities for improvement  • Maintaining the applicant tracking system  • Coordinating associate meetings/trainings   • Helping maintain compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and benefits regulations

    GOT THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE? HERE'S WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR: • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field, plus 1-3 years of HR experience preferred   • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail  • Ability to work occasional evening/weekend overtime as duties demand  • Intermediate-level proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.) required  • Professional certification (SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, SPHR or PHR) preferred  • Working knowledge of applicant tracking systems and ADP preferred
