    Role Summary

    The Logistics Coordinator is responsible to coordinate and execute International and US Domestic transportation; ensure on-time delivery of all of the power transformers through carrier selection and scheduling; maintain all of international and domestic US guidelines and procedures of import compliances.

    Essential Responsibilities

    Develop and maintain transportation and distribution procedures to maximize delivery efficiency.

    Select appropriate delivery methods to minimize delivery costs and maximize customer satisfaction.

    Coordinate all aspects of International and US Domestic transportation, including logistics planning, rate quotations, booking, preparing documentation, contacting brokers/steamship lines, cargo tracking, customs clearance, inland transportation, and customer services, etc.

    Provide solutions to move the power transformers using multiple modes of transportation.

    Execute comprehensive examination of Import documentation including commercial invoices, bill of lading, and related shipping documents while ensuring compliance with international and U.S. laws related to import activity.

    Complete documentation including preparation of commercial invoices, hazardous materials, shippers export declarations, bills of lading, international airway bills, packing slips, shipping instructions and country-specific requirements.

    Responsible for proper Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) code classification of parts of import and creation/compliance of certificate of origin/manufacturer’s affidavit documents.

    Maintains an excellent working relationship with all of the Distributors, Freight Forwarders, 3rd Party Logistics Providers, Customers and working closely with our Engineering Team in Taiwan and Sales Team in U.S.

    Participate in carrier-management processes, such as selection, qualification and performance evaluation to ensure freight transactions are selected based on company objectives for cost and delivery.

    Address problems with daily operations or shipping delays and propose potential risk and countermeasure to keep the minimal negative impact to the customer.

    Preferred Previous Experience

    3 to 5 years working experience with active management practices, including carrier-management and negotiations in the Domestic and international Transportation industry.

    Excellent organizational skills, as well as the ability to multi-task and prioritize.

    Education Requirement

    Associate’s degree, professional presence preferred.

    Advanced degree MAY be substituted for experience, where applicable.

    Proficient use of MS Word, EXCEL, PowerPoint, and email.

    Desired Characteristics:

    Excellent communication internally and external skill and organizational skills are necessary. This position will be expected to be current on all of the shipments and also to work with the Logistic manager to make sure all of the power transformers will be delivered on schedule.

    Excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to follow up with updates to upper management.

    Accurate and attentive to details with excellent documentation skills.

    Solid process orientation, demonstrated resource management and allocation experience, and the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.

    Robust interpersonal skills, with evidence of teamwork and collaboration.

    Must be able to manage multiple priorities with flexibility, a positive attitude, and a strong commitment to customer service.

    Must be highly customer-focused with the ability to work under pressure and to work by yourself without constant supervision.

    Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with customers at all levels
