$18.50/hour
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The employee will monitor and communicate safety, facilities, and property incidents. Emergency and non-emergency calls will be prioritized and communicated internally and externally with management, security personnel, law enforcement, and contractors. This is a full time position used to fill in for varying shifts, days off, and required overtime.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:
-Complete assigned tasks
-Write Dispatch Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
-Follow Cal-Fire, Dispatch SOP, EAP, and NFPA policy
-Utilize Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
-Operate alarm systems (operational software) and the access control program
-Operate the camera motoring software
Qualifications
Ability to work flexible shifts, days, weekends, holidays, overtime (as needed)
-Able to read and write proficiently in English.
-Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
-Ability to make decisions under pressure.
-Good eyesight (corrected)
-High School Diploma or GED
-Assess situations and exercise sound judgment
-Memorize and recall data with the ability to multi-task
-Prefer experience in law enforcement, security, military police, or alarm company
-Must be proficient in Computers; typing, Microsoft Windows/Office (Excel, Word, and Power Point)
-Ability to accept direction and responsibility
-Capable of making decisions under potentially tense conditions
-Must have an overall favorable employment record and attendance record, reliable attendance is an essential job function for dispatchers & security
-Must be able to show up to work daily and be on-time to perform the duties of the position
-Must be able to stand for prolonged periods (up to 12 hours) on a concrete/metal grate floor
-Have a reliable means of communication (phone, cell phone, e-mail, etc.)
-Have reliable means of transportation (public, or private)
-Must be at least 18 years of age
-Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for Alarm Operators or Dispatchers
-Must be able to meet and continue to meet requirements for specific skills, certifications, or authorizations specified for the assignee site

-Knowledge of security operations and procedures
-Knowledge of supervisory practices and procedures Ability to provide positive direction and motivate performance
-Understanding of a variety of security and safety devices and controls
-Ability to learn quickly and carry out instructions furnishing in written, oral, or diagrammed form
-Ability to track and maintain schedule assignments including the issuing of breaks and lunches
-Ability to adapt to various sites and changes in post procedures
-Ability to adapt to changes in the external environment and organizations
-Ability to write routine correspondences, including logs and reports
-Good organizational skills
-Strong customer service and results orientation
-Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface effectively with clients, at various social levels and across diverse cultures
