Job Description

RATE OF PAY:  $21.65hr

PURPOSE OF POSITION: To deliver feed to Foster Farms Chicken and Turkey ranches as well as contract growers. This position may also offer the opportunity to fill in as Relief Dispatcher from time to time.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:  Deliver feed in a safe, efficient and courteous manner while following all applicable policies and procedures concerning delivery, quality assurance and bio-security.  Fill in as Relief Dispatcher as needed. 

Maintain “Driver Activity Logs” as required.  Keep Dispatch Supervisor advised of any problems arising on the ranches that could affect feed delivery. 

Qualifications

Must have a valid Class A California Driver's License and a DMV printout. Must have a minimum of 1  year  of professional driving experience, which includes experience with a tractor and at least a 40’ trailer. Must be able to work  nights, overtime and holidays. Ability to serve as relief dispatcher. Good verbal and written English communication skills. Prior dispatch experience preferred. Ability to deliver feed within stated feed mill delivery standards Ability to learn and  assist in unloading of grain train as needed
