Job Description

SALARY RAGE: $16.80-17.55

1.   Lifts live chickens off moving conveyor belt and hangs them on overhead shackles by their legs.

2.   Operates and controls the speed of the conveyor belt with knee-controlled lever.

3.   Picks up DOA (dead on arrival) and loose chickens off the floor.

4.   Clean up feathers and other debris and deposits into gondola/tanks.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Able to repeatedly lift 4-10 lbs and to meet established company standards.
• Able to stand for prolonged periods of time (8-10 hrs) on concrete/metal grated floor.
• Able to work in dark, dirty, and dusty environment.
• Repetitive grasping/pushing motions, over the shoulder reaching, frequent bending required.
• Must submit to and pass criminal background.
• Must be able to pass BTE level 2.
