Qualifications
- A minimum of 6 years’ experience as a HR generalist.
- A minimum of 3 years’ supervisory experience.
- A Bachelor’s degree (preferred) in Human Resources or a business-related field. Experience in a union environment, managing a collective bargaining agreement.
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP (a strong plus).
- Proven track record in creating and maintaining employee communications strategies and employee engagement plans and initiatives including recognition, employee engagement events and strategies for collecting employee feedback and creating action plans to address employee concerns and ideas. Proven work experience leading recruiting efforts for a Manufacturing facility for hourly plant and plant management positions.
- Solid ability to conduct different types of interviews (structured, competency-based, behavioral etc.) Hands on experience with various selection processes (video interviewing, phone interviewing, reference check etc.)
- Familiarity with HR databases, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Candidate Management Systems (CMS)
- Hands-on experience with recruiting software, as well as Human Resource Information Systems (LAWSON and Kronos) or Human Resource Management Systems (Workday)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strategic thinker with proven ability to drive continuous improvement and results.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
