    Job Description

    Pay Range: $100,000 to $120,000

    The Logistics Manager will lead TMS project implementation and process improvements for enterprise supply chain activities. Additionally, the Logistics Manager will improve the efficiency of supply chain operations through data collection and analysis. The position requires excellent attention to detail, in-depth understanding of the delivery process and exceptional analytics skills. The Logistics Manager will also manage the company’s logistics system and processes from customer orders to transportation to delivery.  Delivery KPIs and Scorecards for contact carriers and customers for process compliance and financial cost components. Create and support transportation demand plan while collaborating with sales team as well as manage and design carrier payment and freight spend process with collaboration with accounts payable and carriers. 

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Collect data on supply chain operations.
    • Analyze data to find areas of supply chain operations process improvements. 
    • Create supply chain management strategies that increase efficiency and speed. 
    • Establish and support relationships with internal business units.
    • Assess carrier operations and enforce compliance with quality standards.
    • Assess customers results and communicate KPIs/Scorecard to sale team
    • Lead, train and mentor team members individually and as a team
    • Measure supply chain performance and report to management.
    • Work with the procurement, transportation, sales team, production planning and IT departments to enhance service and delivery process to customers.
    • Train and mentor team members in the use of new Transportation Management System and other supply chain systems and tool.
    • Collaborate with other departments to close operational gaps.
    • Balance safety, cost management and business growth then prepare and create reporting to tools to measure performance.
    • Create and manage carrier claims process while collaborating with sales and accounts payable 
    • Create and manage contract payment process to carriers and policy adherence  
    • Focus on safety, cost management and business growth in all interactions and directives
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business management or related fields and 2 or more years’ experience in a supply management role or related position or 6 years of experience in experience in a supply management role or related position.)
    • Proven knowledge of Transportation or Supply Chain 
    • Working knowledge of data analysis and forecasting tools and ability to develop actionable insights from data
    • Strong people skills and ability to build and improve trusting relationships 
    • Attention to detail 
    • Understanding of procedural best practices in supply chain management
    • Great written and verbal communication skills
    • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
    • Strong negotiation skills
