Job Description

Pay Range: $18.00 to $20.50 per hour

• Perform all routine chemical analysis and/or sample preparation as assigned.
• Assist other laboratory staff in performing tests and analyses.
• Handle, use and store hazardous reagents safely.
• Maintain laboratory condition, to include clean equipment and workstations, keep supplies stocked, and accurate records throughout all procedures.
• Perform timely and accurate analysis on assigned tasks, perform analyses on quality control samples, and keep current all required graphics and charts.
• Accurately enter all results into the lab database system, generate worksheets, and use quality control charts to determine whether run results are within recommended recovery specifications.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in chemistry or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Basic understanding of chemistry with strong mathematical aptitude
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary to effectively collaborate in a team environment.
• Ability to read, understand, and execute analytical (test) procedures.
• Ability to troubleshoot and correct routine equipment malfunctions.
• Knowledge of excel and data processing.
