    Job Description

    PURPOSE OF POSITION:

    Create, manage and improve all Fresh and Further Processed Turkey products on a daily and weekly basis, to ensure Customer order fill of 99.5% with on-time deliveries to customers of 99%+, while creating production schedules and capacity plans that allow the plant management to perform at best cost possible.  Monitor live supply and balance the overall turkey meat pile to ensure the best use of meat on a weekly basis, and make recommendations on live changes to optimize revenue.   

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    Supervise the scheduling for two Turkey Plants 

    Monitor weekly plant schedule attainment and work with plant management                  

    Create annual and weekly capacity plans for all Turkey Plant operations based on forecast          

    Manage the weekly meat pile for Turkey                                                                       

    Coordinate all aspects of Thanksgiving WB production / storage / shipping                    

    Direct and Monitor the weekly/daily plant schedules                                                     

    Ensure proper set-up and planning in SAP for material planning                                    

    ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:

    Other projects as assigned by director of product management

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    Bachelor degree in business, supply chain, statistics or related field.

    Three – five years order fulfillment, production planning or related experience.

    Proficient with Microsoft Office (emphasizing spreadsheets, presentations, & databases)

    Ability to direct, develop, and manage salary employees.

    Three – five years of supervisory experience

    Excellent communication, organization and planning skills.

    Strong Customer Service values.

    Ability to solve problems in a detailed manner and be decisive.

    Desire to work in a fast pace environment and interact with a wide variety of employees and departments.

    Have the ability to influence through indirect authority is essential.

    PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

    One-three years Production Planning / Scheduling.

    Experience working with ERP system / planning system (SAP Preferred)

    Ability to move up two levels within five years

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    Must have reliable transportation

    Must be able to have consistent attendance in the Livingston, or other assigned Foster Farms’ Office

    Must be able to sit for long periods.

    Must be able to work on the computer for long periods
