Job Description

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

To provide financial support to the Business Unit Managers and related Sales Management and their staff to drive short and long term business decisions for the purpose of attainment of the business unit and the company goals.  Responsible for the financial reporting and analysis of business results, evaluation of business development projects, and profit forecasts for the business unit.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Assist in developing strategic options with principal responsibility for quantifying alternative business strategies.

Initiate business analyses and forecasting to identify potential opportunities in current Business Units practices.

Forecast Results of the Business Units

Manage the Business unit’s piece (strategic forecast) of the Demand Planning system.

Develop and manage automated standard  weekly, period and quarterly reporting for the Business Units

Responsible for Marketing Tracking and Reporting

Develop and implement analytical tools for the Business Unit

Coordinate the rolling 13 and the 5 year forecast for the business unit

Enhance understanding of the Business Units and continuously strengthen current skills (both self and staff) to meet current and future organizational needs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Provide other areas in finance and operations with participation, advice and guidance about matters regarding systems, accounting, planning, forecasting, etc.

Post audit capitals, authorizations-to-pack and cost estimates..

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

Degree in Accounting or Finance with MBA preferred

Five to ten years experience in financial planning and analysis, financial management and accounting.

Experience with consumer products, preferably commodities perishable foods and/or integrated poultry

Must be self-motivated and resourceful

Excellent communication and analytical skills

Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment
