Job Description
Recruit, pre-screen, interview and select applicants, schedule physical and drug screenings, process all paperwork and conduct orientations for new employees.
Coordinate the transfer of hourly union employees to vacant base labor vacancies by determining seniority/eligibility of employees on transfer log, awarding positions and notifying supervision of successful candidates as well as maintain respective documentation.
Post all premium positions, award jobs to successful bidders, notify supervision, monitor process and maintain respective documentation.
Maintain tracking process in the event of plant layoffs, recall according to seniority and ensure that Collective Bargaining Unit guidelines are followed.
Coordinate all phases of the Service Award Program from the distribution of the selections forms to the scheduling and making arrangements for service award presentations.
Maintain Premium Job Postings Affirmative Action, Transfer and EED logs.
Compute final payments and process all termination paperwork with payroll and provide quality for all ledger paperwork for input and forward to Central Human Resources for processing.
Provide support/backup to all other Human Resource Assistants in the department as needed as well as to Employee Relations Supervisor.
Assist in the planning of company recreational events such as picnics, luncheons, dinners, etc.
Help maintain and improve quality and food safety, to insure compliance with company quality standards and USDA regulatory requirements.
