Job Description
The purpose of this position is to drive sustainability across Foster Farms organization and to apply corporate initiatives throughout the company. The Sustainability Manager must have a clear understanding of all issues related to product life-cycle, corporate sustainability practices, and sustainability trends. The Manager will establish sustainability strategies for Foster Farms and coordinate across functions to drive improvement in corporate performance and communicate to external and internal stakeholders. Individual will provide engineering support and conduct activities related to short- and long-term infrastructure planning and capital improvement projects and maintenance operations. Works with suppliers and internal customers to analyze, design and complete facility projects and maintenance activities. Individual will be expected to plan, manage and execute projects in a timely manner and consistent with stakeholders’ expectations. Individual develops and recommends facility process improvements and sustainability improvements through the application of reliability engineering tools. Researches technologies related to facilities and shares learning with others. Essential functions for this position include but are not limited to the following:
