Job Description

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Receive sales orders and schedule external customers’ loads for commodities mills and barn.  Interact with commodities sales representatives, outside brokers and operation management to maintain flow of sales orders to production.  Maintain schedule with production schedules.  Manage the freight logistics and work with freight carriers as needed. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Daily scheduling of sales orders for commodities mills.  Receive sales orders from sales representatives.  Maintain and revise these schedules as needed.  Interact with Commodities facilities to coordinate sales orders.

Create sales orders in SAP and Utilize SAP program for order and shipping information.  Create sales orders in Repeat and Beta Raven for commodities orders.

Generate daily, weekly and monthly CSR reports.  Maintain and revise these reports as needed. 

Daily phone coverage such as taking calls from sales representatives, mills’ personnel, customers, and trucking companies.  May have to resolve problems or make changes. 

Interact with customers to assist with customers’ orders and issues. 

Coordinate sales orders with Merchandisers and Customer’ contracts

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:

Cover desk for logistics co-worker, supervisor and help cover logistics clerk’s desk for grain department and roller mill logistics clerk.

Special projects when assigned by Supervisor

Research customers’ discrepancies and problem invoices.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

Must have high school diploma, strongly prefer college courses.

Three-five years’ experience in an office environment.

Demonstrated strong interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills and be detailed oriented.

Capable of learning and understanding SAP, experience with SAP a plus.

Computer literate in Microsoft Office with a strong understanding using and creating MS Excel spread sheets, and have internet abilities.

Initiative, sound analytical skills and ability to organize work independently with a minimum of supervision.

Must be able to work in a fast-paced team environment and able to perform multiple tasks.
